American Idol 2010 runner-up Lauren Alaina forgot the lyrics to the National Anthem while performing it before the NFL Thanksgiving game on Thursday.
Alaina paused for about five seconds right after the beginning of her performance and the crowd booed her.
The young singer eventually managed to catch herself with the rest of the “Star-Spangled Banner” performance which earned her some well deserved applause from the public.
Lauren Alaina did own up to her mistake on Twitter admitting that she did ‘mess up.’
The talented artist has a bright future despite this little misstep.
Lauren’s debut album “Wildflower” was released in October 2011.
